Your voice matters – VOTE!

The forum will be organized as follows:

A 90-second introduction by each candidate; the order of districts will be selected at random, as will the order of candidates within each district
A brief introduction and kickoff question from a member of the host team
A short series of questions selected by polling attendees in advance, with each candidate given 1 minute to respond
Each candidate will be given 30 seconds to provide a wrap-up remark

AAUW Petaluma is hosting two Candidate Forums on Monday September 30 at Petaluma City Hall. The first Fourm will begin at 6pm with the two candidates for Petaluma City School Board Area 4 followed at 7pm by the seven candidates for Petaluma City Council Districts 4, 5, and 6.  Candidates will answer questions posed by a moderator to explain positions on Petaluma city and school issues. The Forum will be held in-person at Petaluma City Hall, 11 English St, Petaluma, CA 94952.

The League of Women Voters is co-sponsoring the Forums which will be posted to the LWV YouTube Channel in October. We encourage all Petaluma residents to attend to learn about the issues and to make informed choices when voting. Petaluma elections are by District, but decisions made by the City Council and PCS School Board impact everyone who lives in Petaluma.

I will be interviewed on KPCA as part of a series of interviews of city council candidates.

The forum will be split into districts between 30 minute increments.
District 4 ~ 5:30-6PM
District 5 ~ 6:15-6:45PM
Break
District 6 ~ 7-7:30PM
Los Cien has approximately 330 active members and an email list of 3300 strong so this zoom forum will be broadcasted Countywide.

Read my blog for observations about what is going on at City hall

I have been involved in advocacy for issues and candidates for many years at city hall, and I have a lot of insights about the current workings of the city. To hear some of those observations, check out my blog “The Kuehne Observer” (my last name is pronounced “Keen”).

I also encourage you to subscribe to my e-mail list which will include these blog posts, as well as any current city-related events in regular e-mail updates.

Community Endorsements

I am endorsing this campaign to preserve our historic district in downtown Petaluma. It is a jewel and unique and we are facing a grave danger of losing it by allowing a 6+ story hotel that is not at all appropriate for the location plus the zoning overlay that will make this possible.
